Dr. James L. Haner is the head of Ultimate Business Resources (UBR) Consulting, specializing in “Building Better Businesses.” UBR is an independent firm offering business consulting and project management services to Fortune 500 companies in the U.S, Europe, Africa, and China. James’ management and leadership roles have included establishing a corporate Web presence, creating a successful organization-wide employee development plan, and developing the IT infrastructure for a start-up company. James brings more than three decades of dynamic experience as a distinguished college professor, award-winning author of articles, books and blogs, and successful management and leadership consultant to each learning experience. He is a contributing author of 140 Project Management Tips in 140 Words or Less, 2010; Making Sense of Sustainability in Project Management, 2011; The Handbook of Program Management, (2012), and Sample Exam Questions: PMI Project Management Professional (PMP), (2014), PMP Project Management Professional Practice Exams (2018), and CAPM Certified Associate in Project Management All-in-One Exam Guide (2023). James completed his PhD work at the University of Idaho and Corillins University. He earned an MA degree in Management/Leadership from the Claremont Graduate School and took classes with Dr. Peter F. Drucker, “the father of modern management.” He is a PMI-certified PMP and CAPM instructor in the ATP program. Dr. Haner is a member of the Project Management Institute (PMI) and the International Institute of Business Analysis (IIBA). He has won the Dale Carnegie Course “Highest Achievement Award” and earned the Vietnam Service Medal while serving in the U.S. Air Force.
