Melvin L. Smith

Melvin L. Smith, Ph.D. is a Professor of Organizational Behavior and Faculty Director of Executive Education at Case Western Reserve University's Weatherhead School of Management. He also serves as Vice President of the Graduate School Alliance for Education in Coaching (GSAEC). Prior to his academic career, Melvin spent nearly 15 years in a series of Sales, Marketing and Organization Development roles at a number of Fortune 500 companies including IBM, Pepsi and H.J. Heinz. Melvin's teaching and research focus on leadership, leadership development, executive coaching and the development and use of human and social capital in organizations.
