Georgina Colby

Georgina Colby is the author of Kathy Acker: Writing the Impossible (Edinburgh University Press, 2016) and the editor of Reading Experimental Writing (Edinburgh University Press, 2019) and The Contemporary Small Press: Making Publishing Visible (Palgrave Macmillan, 2020). She is the Series Editor (with Eric White) of two book series: Edinburgh Critical Studies in Avant-Garde Writing and Edinburgh Foundations in Avant-Garde Writing. She has presented and published widely on avant-garde feminist writing, in particular the work of Acker, in articles for the Times Literary Supplement and in academic journals such as Comparative Critical Studies, Journal of Narrative Theory, Textual Practice, New Formations: A Journal of Culture, Theory and Politics, and Women: A Cultural Review. She led the BA/Leverhulme project Feminist Representations and is the Founder and Director of S A L O N - LONDON. She is Reader in Modern and Contemporary Literature at the University of Westminster.
