David Vance

Dave Vance still lives with his wife and three children on the same planet where most of his ancestors were born. He blames his father for dragging him all over Pennsylvania and Ireland looking for ancestors and igniting a life-long interest in genealogical research. Dave started his obsession with genetic genealogy in 2005 with the first National Genographic DNA test. He has since tested with multiple companies, is a Y-DNA surname project administrator and haplogroup project co-administrator, has written tools for Y-DNA genetic genealogy, and is regularly implored by his loved ones to seek professional help. In his spare time, Dave works a day job.
