John Ericson

John was born to a poor farmer in southeastern Idaho where he learned the value of hard work and about God from his parents. With an unknown challenge of dyslexia, he did poorly in school, and yet, always wanted to learn. He pushed himself to continue school and was finally able to obtain a bachelor's degree when he was 35. He met the love of his life when he was 21 and they married soon after. They raised three boys who grew into wonderful husbands and fathers. He is now the proud grandpa of 14 grand-children. John pursued a career in construction and facilities management where he became an expert at energy stingy construction methods and has provided seminars on the subject. John had a unique experience in 2012 where he saw the other side of death. Whether this was a near death experience due to his heart condition, or a vision, or just a dream, he doesn't know. However, he feels compelled to share his experience with anyone who will listen. He has dedicated his free time to promote belief in God and what he had learned. In 2014 he published the first version of his book Beyond Deaths Door: One man's journey which quickly became near the top selling book in his genre. Then in 2020 he finished a rewrite with more than twice the detail and published his experience under a new title of Beyond Deaths Door: Extended Journey.
