From a young age Nadira knew her calling in life was to help others heal and be of, and in, service. After high school Nadira pursued the study of Nursing and soon realized that traditional medical practices were not healing many of the patients she was seeing and she knew it had to be a more natural way of healing oneself. Some years later, Nadira studied Culinary Management at The Art Institute in Washington DC and became a Executive Chef and dealt with personal medical conditions which made her really start to research natural healing methods and understand the importance of whole and organic vegan/plant based foods and how eating habits are major contributors to health conditions. This led Nadira to further her studies at Southwest Institute of Healing Arts (SWIHA) in Temp, Az. to become Holistic Wellness Practitioner/Holistic Nutritionist. Over the past 20 years Nadira has started several Food Service business ventures, and held positions in the medical field, all the while studying, learning, teaching and incorporating holistic wellness in her life as well as the lives of many with whom her path has crossed. With having a dream of creating and serving healthier alternatives to people, Nadira founded Global Fusion LLC. as a home based vegan and gluten free desserts/confections based in Tucson, Az. With Nadira's love to travel and a growing business Nadira partnered with her friend Sabrina Metherell a pastry chef who shared the love vision and passion that Global Fusion was created with. Through Nadira's travels she experienced cooking different kinds of cuisine like Ital, soul food, Caribbean, Japanese and many more. After returning from her travels she knew she had to share her gift with the world one plate at a time. Global Fusion soon found a home at Zen Nights Block Party in Mesa Az. In just short of our year anniversary of joining Zen Nights Block Party Nadira and Sabrina purchased in August 2018 The Cutting Board Bakery and Cafe (all vegan with tons of gluten free options) located at 2235 S. Power Rd Ste 116 in East Mesa, Arizona. Nadira has won The People Choice Award From Fried Chick'un Battle, curated by Zen Nights Inc. and Vegan Outreach of L.A. for her vegan fried chickun in 2019 and in 2018 she won People’s Choice and Judges Awards at The BBQ Battle, curated by Zen Nights Inc. and Vegan Outreach of L.A. for her mango Habanero BBQ sauce.
