Derek Fisher is an award-winning author, speaker, leader, and university instructor and has built high-performing cybersecurity teams in many different fields of technology. He continues to work professionally in the security space where he is a frequent speaker at industry conferences and on podcasts providing his security insight to multiple fields and disciplines. His passion has been to take complex security topics and make them simple and easy to consume which led him to write the Application Security Program Handbook by Manning Publishing. Additionally, as he raises his own daughter as a digital native, he has seen the opportunity to take his understanding of the security field and provide his insight to both parents and children through the Alicia Connected book series.
