Steven has been in law enforcement for almost thirty years. He started as a county police officer, then decided to go to law school. With his law degree he became a county, then state prosecutor, worked as a police legal advisor, then joined the FBI, where he has been for 18 years. He has served all over the world and both coasts of the United States. Steven never forgot his roots- police officers are the thin blue line that stands guard so that everyone else can live their lives. He realized that there were plenty of tactical experts to teach them how to shoot, how to fight, how to arrest, and plenty of lawyers who can teach them how to testify. Steven wanted to teach them how to write. Steven's books are intended to be quick reads with just the basics; no illustrations, no exercises, just the rules, written in a way anyone can understand and apply them. His books have been purchased by departments all over the country, in bulk, and given to new officers. Big news: Overkill Press is excited to announce Volume 1 of Grammar Saves Lives made it on BookAuthority's list of "the Best Law Enforcement Books of All Time!" BookAuthority collects and ranks the best books in the world, and it is a great honor to get this kind of recognition. Thank you for all your support! Steven is also an accomplished novelist, writing under the name Jonathan B. Zeitlin. His books all have some flavor of law enforcement. See amazon.com/author/jonathanbzeitlin
