Laura Petrusic

Laura Petrusic is a professionally certified science teacher and marine science educator. She holds an undergraduate degree in marine science from the University of South Carolina and a master’s degree in science education from the Florida Institute of Technology. Laura has designed and delivered marine science educational content to students of all ages creating programs within the formal classroom, outdoor education, science centers, and homeschool groups. She is the curriculum and content developer for Marine Science Explorers and offers a variety of online courses for K-12 students in marine science. Her philosophy to learning is inquiry-based, integrated and student centered, thus allowing students to make connections with the natural world in a way that is relative to their lives. Laura currently lives in Lake Mary, Florida. When she is not teaching, she enjoys beachcombing and camping adventures with her husband and three children.
