Rebecca Romano has developed a passion for languages from a young age thanks to her family trips around Europe and can now speak five languages, which enrich her own understanding of the obstacles encountered when studying a foreign language and of how to overcome them. After graduating in Languages for International Communication and Cooperation, she has worked in many countries around the world, including Belgium, Switzerland, France and Italy. These experiences have added to her awareness of the importance of knowing foreign languages as a mean to make travelling, living or working in another country easier and more pleasant. She is now working as an Italian teacher in New Zealand while writing short stories books for Italian learners. After many years of teaching, she has noticed that her most brilliant students are those who try to immerse the most into Italian culture through reading books, listening to the radio or to e-books, and watching Italian movies. For this reason she has embarked in a new adventure as a story writer for Italian learners, combining both her own teaching and personal experience. With her short stories, Rebecca recreates an entertaining environment for students to learn Italian in a fun, interactive and natural way.
