Chad Knowles is popularly known as ‘The Python Guy’ amongst his students and his colleagues at Northwestern University College of Computer and Information Science, where he is Director of Technology. He began his career as a software engineer and, then went on to complete a PhD in Computer Science from the University of Washington, during which quickly discovered his passion for writing code and about it. Chad’s books are about topics ranging from embedded systems to Internet and enterprise applications. He writes to educate students, software developers, engineers and anyone else interested understanding and writing code in Python and SQL. Over a passionate twenty years, Chad has authored several informational books like “Python Programming for Beginners”, "SQL for Beginners", “Learning SQL”, "Sql for Data Analysis", and his latest piece “Sql for Data Scientists", master deep learning and become great at programming Python and SQL with a hands-on project in data science. When not teaching to write code or writing code, he likes to photograph, hike, ski, cook and read (non-software related books too!). He lives with his loving family in Chicago, United States.
