Miriam C. Wiesner

Miriam C. Wiesner is an experienced Sr. Security Researcher at Microsoft, where she contributes to the development of detections for Microsoft 365 Defender. With over 15 years of experience in IT and IT Security, Miriam has held a range of positions, including Administrator/System Engineer, Software Developer, Premier Field Engineer, Program Manager, and Security Consultant & Penetration Tester. In addition to her role at Microsoft, Miriam is an renowned creator of open-source tools based in PowerShell, including EventList and JEAnalyzer. Her research and tools have been presented at numerous international conferences, such as Black Hat (USA, Europe & Asia), PSConf EU, hack.lu, BSides, and MITRE ATT&CK workshop, where she has been invited to share her insights and expertise. Outside of work, Miriam is a dedicated wife and mother, residing with her family near Nuremberg, Germany.
