Jamie Smallwood

关于作者

Jamie spent his formative years living in Pointe-Claire, Quebec, on the island of Montreal and now resides in Toronto, Ontario and spends retired cottage time in the Laurentian mountains of Quebec. He is the son of a librarian and was surrounded by books from an early age. His education was in the architectural field, and he had a career in residential design and the manufacture of custom wood windows and doors, with a focus on historic replication. His interests range from organic gardening, sailing, cross-country skiing, and woodworking. He has a soft heart for vintage motorcycles. His first published work, Dear Mom, Dad, Sis and Cat: My Motorcycle Trip 1964/65 was written in what he calls "the reflecting back" stage of life. The story is largely based on exerts from letters he had sent home sixty years previous. He speaks with the mind and emotion of a nineteen-year-old on his own for the first time. It is neither long nor complicated, but is simply, "Let me tell you my story".
