Vy Lien has always been interested in human behavior and received her bachelor's degree in Psychology at University of California, Riverside. She then obtained double graduate degrees and joined the medical field as a PA. Aside from work, Vy enjoys everything about culinary arts including cooking meals "made from scratch" and sampling street food to fine dining to cruise buffets! She also enjoys international traveling, yoga, and writing children's fiction books. Vy grew up as an only child to an exceptionally hard working single mother who became a school teacher and taught in a distinguished elementary school for over 20 years. Now as a mother herself to a dynamic young girl, Vy writes books that feature social and developmental themes that children face. Her stories incorporate learning lessons, fun adventures, friendship, and usually a whole lot of food as the main characters! Vy reflects on some of the social situations that she faced as a child and writes books in hopes of helping children, including her own, bravely face and conquer social challenges. She is the award-winning author of the Growing Pains Of The Grains series.
