Meet Kevin Woo, a foster father, realtor, and entrepreneur who now shares his insights on parenting in his humorous book, "36 Simple Tricks for Lazy Teenagers to Stop Parents' Nagging". Approaching the topic from a teenager's perspective, instead of the usual parent-to-child approach, makes this book unique and refreshing. With an educational background in Electronics and Computer Engineering, Kevin worked as an engineer until 2009, when he became a full-time realtor. Having won multiple awards for his achievements in real estate sales, Kevin started to feel that there must be more that he could do in life other than just making money, amassing assets, and going on vacations with his partner. In 2010, Kevin and his partner decided to go into fostering children who needed a home. Despite not having children of their own to draw on any past experiences, Kevin has found caring for children of various backgrounds, ethnic origins, and ages ranging from infants to teenagers to be both challenging and rewarding all at the same time. He realised that methods that worked in the past and what he saw as valuable and practical might no longer be relevant in this digital age, where a child can fire up an app and be instantly exposed to a totally different culture across the other side of the globe. Driven by the desire to leave a legacy and find different ways to communicate with all his foster children, past and present, Kevin was inspired to write his first book, but with a twist! As Kevin continues on his journey as a foster parent, there will probably be more to come from him!
