Dr Ben Garrod is Professor of Evolutionary Biology and Science Engagement at the University of East Anglia, UK. He is also an award-winning science broadcaster and conservationist. He has lived and worked across the world, protecting wild chimpanzees in Africa, stalking polar bears in the Arctic and helping dig up the largest dinosaur ever discovered, in South America. Ben has written numerous series and individual books, about his amazing African street dog companion in his four-part series 'The adventures of a dog called Jack-Jack', some of the most iconic and fantastics prehistoric animals ever in his 'Ultimate Dinosaurs' eight-part series, how life on Earth has avoided being wiped out numerous times in his eight-part series 'EXTINT', and his conservation work across Africa in 'The chimpanzee and me'.
