David Adjmi is the author of the plays The Evildoers, Stunning (winner of the Steinberg Playwright Award), 3C, Elective Affinities (with Zoe Caldwell) and Marie Antoinette. His plays have been produced at Lincoln Center, the RSC, Steppenwolf and Soho Rep and elsewhere. His play Stereophonic received its world premiere at Playwrights Horizons in 2023 and transferred to the Golden Theatre (on Broadway) where it became the most Tony nominated play in Broadway history. Stereophonic received the Tony, Drama Desk, Outer Critics' Circle, New York Drama Critics' Circle and Drama League Awards for Best Play, and it will premiere on London's West End in spring 2025. His new play, The Blind King, is a commission by The Public Theater. Adjmi's critically acclaimed memoir Lot Six is published by HarperCollins, and he is the author of two play collections: Stunning and Other Plays and 1789/1978 (both from TCG.) A recipient of a Whiting Writers' Award, and a Guggenheim Fellowship, he lives in Los Angeles.
