Mary Meinking grew up in and lives in Iowa. She's married with two children and two grandchildren. She works as a graphic designer during the day but writes for children at night. Her nonfiction articles were published in a dozen different children’s magazines. Mary’s written over 40 nonfiction books about history, travel, weather, animals, arts and crafts, extreme jobs, and pop stars.
