Mary Meinking grew up in and lives in Iowa. She's married with two children and two grandchildren.
She works as a graphic designer during the day but writes for children at night. Her nonfiction articles were published in a dozen different children’s magazines. Mary’s written over 40 nonfiction books about history, travel, weather, animals, arts and crafts, extreme jobs, and pop stars.
When not working, writing or hanging out with her family, Mary enjoys doing arts and crafts, photography and traveling.
