Kids Will Love It!
This review was written by my daughter:Like the other Dog Man books, my family and I enjoyed reading this one. Big Jim’s backstory was awesome, and I know kids will love it. I work part-time at an after-school program, and the Dog Man series is such a great way to connect with the kids there. That said, as a Dog Man fan since the beginning, I kind of wish Mr. Pilkey titled this book differently, using one of those funny, clever titles based on classic literature. Those always made me laugh! I also would’ve liked to see more of Dog Man in action—but maybe I’m just biased since he’s my favorite character. Still, it’s a great book, and I’m sure little kids will love it!

Pilkey knows how to weave good morals into entertaining stories without shoving ones political views or hitting kids over the head with lessons. The stories are funny and he pokes fun at human nature. I especially love the quote, "Truly I tell you, unless you change and become like little children, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven. " (Matthew 18:3 NIV).

I love how the book arrives on the same day that it’s released as my autistic son tracks all of this on his calendar and when I used other websites to order the books and they didn’t arrive till three or four days after release he was not happy. Thank you, Amazon. Also, the Dogman books are awesome. We’ve already read this one and he was very happy with the artwork and the story.

I'll admit I always figured these were just mindless comics. My son got this today, loved it and asked me to read it as well. It was actually pretty sweet, loved the message of kindness and using one's imagination. Now I understand why he reads the series over and over.
