I've been writing about business, management, and economics for more than 40 years. I've written or coauthored seven books and collaborated on several others. I've also contributed to a variety of periodicals, including Inc., the Atlantic, the New Republic, and Harvard Business Review. Since 1995 I’ve been writing mostly about the remarkable phenomena of open-book management and employee ownership. In 2005 I collaborated with Corey Rosen and Martin Staubus on the book Equity: Why Employee Ownership Is Good for Business. Later, I was privileged to serve a three-year term on the board of the National Center for Employee Ownership, for which I developed the popular booklet Employee Ownership: Building a Better American Economy. I'm very excited to see my new book, also written with Corey Rosen: it's called OWNERSHIP: Reinventing Companies, Capitalism, and Who Owns What. Berrett-Koehler will be publishing it in early fall 2022.
