Mary Pullig Schatz, M.D. is a graduate of Vanderbilt University School of Medicine and is certified by world-renowned yogi B.K.S. Iyengar to teach his method of yoga. She is the author of Back Care Basics, the best-selling yoga book (currently in its 21st printing having sold over 148,000 copies) that offers back pain solutions using gentle yoga techniques, and Relaxation Basics, an audio program that provides progressive relaxation techniques as an aid in managing daily stress, as well as stress-related conditions and illnesses. Her most recent creation is the award-winning iPhone app Office YogaMD (formerly Computer Rx - YogaMD).
An avid yoga practitioner for many years, Dr. Schatz combines the wisdom of East and West into therapeutic and transformational yoga programs. Her remarkable background has allowed her to enrich yoga instruction.
