New York Times bestselling author Gary Krist has written five works of narrative nonfiction--The White Cascade, City of Scoundrels, Empire of Sin, The Mirage Factory, and (his latest) Trespassers at the Golden Gate: A True Account of Love, Murder, and Madness in Gilded-Age San Francisco.
