Jeanne Murray Walker

Jeanne Murray Walker was born in a village of 900 people in northern Minnesota and by the age of 19 she had been published by The Atlantic Monthly. She is the prize-winning author of nine books of poetry, collected in Helping the Morning (WordFarm Press) and the forthcoming collection, Pilgrim, You Find the Path by Walking. Jeanne’s poetry and essays have appeared in several hundred journals, including Poetry, Image, The American Poetry Review, The Georgia Review, and Best American Poetry. Her plays have been produced by theatres across the US and in London. The recipient many fellowships and 16 nominations for The Pushcart Prize, Jeanne serves as a Mentor in the Seattle Pacific University low residency MFA Program and travels widely to give readings and run workshops.
