Brad Barkley

Brad Barkley is the author of the novel Money, Love, a B&N "Discover Great New Writers" selection and one of the”Year’s Best” as named by the Washington Post. His novel Alison's Automotive Repair Manual was a "BookSense 76" selection. He's published two collections of stories, Circle View and Another Perfect Catastrophe, and three Young Adult novels: Scrambled Eggs at Midnight, Dream Factory, and Jars of Glass. His fiction has appeared in over thirty magazines, including Southern Review, Georgia Review, the Oxford American, and the Virginia Quarterly Review. His work was anthologized in New Stories from the South: The Year's Best. Brad has won four Individual Artist Awards from the Maryland State Arts Council and a Creative Writing Fellowship from the National Endowment for the Arts. His new novel, The Reel Life of Zara Kegg, is forthcoming from Regal House He lives in the mountains of western Maryland with his wife Kristin and their dog Millie. More information at his website.
