An award-willing writer, Greg Borzo’s books include Chicago’s Fabulous Fountains; Where to Bike Chicago; Lost Restaurants of Chicago; and The Chicago “L.” Borzo is an accomplished public speaker and gives informative and entertaining PowerPoint presentations about Chicago to libraries, clubs, schools, senior centers, etc. He conducts tours for the Chicago History Museum, Chicago Cycling Club, Forgotten Chicago, and other organizations. Borzo has a master’s degree in journalism from Northwestern University. He has been a full-time writer at Modern Railroads Magazine (Editor-in-Chief), Traffic World, (Midwest Editor), American Medical Association (Reporter, then Business Editor, at American Medical News), Field Museum (Science Writer), and University of Chicago (News Officer). He has won several awards, including Grinnell College’s Alumni Award, two Peter Lisagor Awards (one of Chicago’s top journalism honors), several Gold or Silver Trumpets from the Publicity Club of Chicago, and a top book award (Certificate of Excellence) from the Illinois State Historical Society. Borzo lives in the South Loop to best enjoy Chicago’s art and architecture; culture and history; biking and restaurants. His latest book is A History Lover’s Guide to Chicago. He loves to share his knowledge of and enthusiasm for the Windy City.
