Alicia Juarrero is a internationally renowned writer, scholar, and professor. She is the author of Dynamics in Action: Intentional Behavior as a Complex System (2002) and Context Changes Everything: How Constraints Create Coherence (2023). She is the Co-editor of Re framing Complexity: Perspectives from North and South (2004) and Emergence, Self-Organization and Complexity: Precursors and Prototypes (2008). Juarrero has a PhD, MA, and BA at the University of Miami and later won the U. S. professor of the year award in 2002. From 1992-2000 she was nominated by the President of the United States, and Confirmed by U.S. Senate to the National Council on the Humanities, where she Served as Chair with oversight of distribution of 32 million in Dollars to states and territories. She currently lives in Washington DC.
