关于作者

Christopher C. Harmon is lead author of THE TERRORIST ARGUMENT: Modern Advocacy and Propaganda (Brookings,2018). He wrote A Citizen's Guide to Terrorism and Counterterrorism (Routledge, 2nd edn., 2021). Both his editions of TERRORISM TODAY (2000; 2007) were written for the Cass Series on Political Violence overseen by Paul Wilkinson. Harmon was also lead editor for Statecraft and Power (Univ. Press of America, 1994) and Toward A Grand Strategy Against Terrorism (McGraw-Hill, 2010). His recent articles are in The Marine Corps University Journal (now JAMS), Orbis, Combating Terrorism Exchange, Oxford Bibliographies, and Fletcher Forum of World Affairs.

With appropriate nods to ground-breaker Martha Crenshaw, Harmon's years of public lectures (e.g. Heritage Foundation; Capitol Hill; Woodrow Wilson Internat. Center for Scholars) and publications did much in the 9/11 era to ignite discussion of "How Terrorist Groups End." He held three academic chairs at Marine Corps University and served many years as curricula chief for counterterrorism studies programs of the U.S. government: DKI-APCSS/Honolulu, and the George C. Marshall European Center in Germany. Dr. Harmon is now a Distinguished Fellow of the Brute Krulak Center for innovation & Future War, Marine Corps University. He teaches courses on terrorism, counterterrorism, and military strategy at the Institute of World Politics in Washington. CHarmon@iwp.edu
