John Scott

I am a sociologist and hold Honorary Professorships at Essex University, Copenhagen University and Exeter University. I have previously worked at Essex Univerity, Leicester University, Strathclyde Univerity, and Plymouth University and have held an Adjunct Professorship at Bergen University. My books cover the areas of social class and power, social networks, social theory, and the history of sociology. I am a Fellow of the British Academy, a Fellow of the Academy of Social Sciences, and a former President of the British Sociological Association.
