Lance Workman is Visiting Professor of Psychology at the University of South Wales and a free-lance science writer who was formally Head of Psychology at Bath Spa University. He has published widely on both human and animal behaviour and was for 7 years interviews editor for ‘The Psychologist’. His teaching and research interests are in biological & evolutionary psychology. He has refereed over 100 journal articles. Lance regularly appears in the media commenting on developments in psychology in the national press, television and radio making over 1000 appearances over the last twenty five years including his own series on psychology for Radio Wales. Whilst working in Australia in the 1980s Lance was bitten by a red-backed spider and talked gibberish for a couple of days. Nobody noticed any difference. His electric guitar playing has been described as ‘truly awful’.
