Rob Campany holds the Gertrude Conaway Vanderbilt Chair in Humanities and is Professor of Asian Studies at Vanderbilt University. He previously taught at the University of Southern California and Indiana University and has held a visiting lectureship at l'École Pratique des Hautes Études in Paris. He researches and writes about the history of religions in ancient and medieval China.
