W. Timothy Coombs

I have been actively involved in crisis communication for over 20 years as a researcher and a practitioner. My PhD is in issues management and public affairs from Purdue University. In addition to my books, I have written a large number of articles and book chapters about crisis communication. I believe crisis communication is a way to prevent harm to stakeholders--the number 1 concern in a crisis--and that those proper actions will help to protect the organization's reputation.
