Sean McEvoy is a Bye Fellow in English at Murray Edwards College, University of Cambridge. He teaches and writes about the theatre, with a particular interest in the early modern period, and in tragedy.
He lives in Brighton with his wife Nicky and daughter Julia.
His book 'Theatrical Unrest: Ten Riots in the History of the Stage 1601-2004' was shortlisted for the Theatre Book Prize in 2017. He has recently finished a new book on the plays of Jez Butterworth.
