Shaunda Kennedy Wenger is co-author with Janet Kay Jensen of The Book Lover's Cookbook, Celebrated Works of Literature and the Passages That Feature Them (Ballantine Books), which was featured as a National Public Radio holiday gift pick in 2003. Her niche cookbook, From Rivets and Rails, Recipes of a Railroad Boarding House, features historic anecdotes and recipes penned by her great grandmother. Her self-published middle-grade novels include The Ghost in Me and Reality Bites, Tales of a Half-Vampire. Both have received awards and honors. Her children's chapter book, Little Red Riding Hood, Into the Forest Again, earned honors from the KART Kids Book List and the Purple Dragonfly. She's also had stories and poems published in Cricket Media magazines and with educational publishers. You'll find her latest children's work and upcoming books published as S.K. Wenger, with her debut picture book releasing in October 2021. She lives in northern Utah, where the mountains have provided a beautiful backdrop while raising a family.
