Anitra supports social and environmental justice movements, such as degrowth and ecosocialism; caring and sharing local-to-global communities; living the good life and low impact living, especially using non-monetary real valuist economies. Associate Professor and Honorary Principal Fellow at University of Melbourne (Australia), titles include: Beyond Money: A Postcapitalist Strategy (2022, Pluto Press); Exploring Degrowth: A Critical Guide (2020, Pluto Press); Small is Necessary: Shared Living on a Shared Planet (2018, Pluto Press); Life Without Money: Building Fair and Sustainable Economies (2011, Pluto Press) and Marx's Concept of Money: The God of Commodities (1999/2014, Routledge). Creative work includes award-winning short films, such as Beyond Money: Yenomon (2022) and Mercury Stole My Fire (2006) and play Servant of the Revolution (2009).
