Norman Dubie was born in 1945 and earned an MFA from the Iowa Writers’ Workshop. The author of numerous poetry collections, including The Clouds of Magellan and The Volcano (Copper Canyon Press, 2010), he is known for work that invokes the voices of artists such as Chekhov, Proust, and Rodin. Awarded the Bess Hokin Award of the Modern Poetry Association, Dubie is Regents’ Professor of English at Arizona State University.
