Susan Shaw is professor of Women, Gender, & Sexuality Studies at Oregon State University. She teaches courses in Global Feminist Theologies, Feminist Theologies in the US, Feminism & the Bible, Gender & Sport, and Gender, Race, & Pop Culture. She frequently leads study abroad experiences focused on gender, race, and class to the UK and Guatemala. She is an ordained Baptist minister who makes her congregational home in the United Church of Christ. She occasionally writes for the Ms. blog and serves on the Ms. Committee of Scholars. She is active in the National Women's Studies Association and speaks and leads workshops on issues of gender, race, power, and privilege around the country.
