MONTREW DUNHAM is the author of a number of historical biographies for young readers in the popular Childhood of Famous American Series, and has also written two books about the history of Downers Grove, IL, "Downers Grove 1832 to 1982" and "Downers Grove Revisited". She was named Historian of the Year in 2013 by the Downers Grove Historical Society. Dunham first learned to love history as a Latin student at Butler University where she earned her B.A. degree. Her Master’s degree is from Northwestern University. More recently, she has written the novels "Abigail's Secret" and Blazing Flambeaux When she isn’t writing she loves spending time with her family, her children and grandchildren in Illinois and Texas.
