Dr. Vic Strasburger is a renowned American pediatrician and an international expert on the effects of media on children and adolescents, and on Adolescent Medicine. He is the author of 13 books and more than 160 journal articles and book chapters. Dr. Strasburger graduated from Yale College, where he wrote with Robert Penn Warren. He graduated from Harvard Medical School and did his pediatric residency at Children's Hospital in Seattle, Boston Children's Hospital, and Paddington Green Children's Hospital in London. He completed his Adolescent Medicine fellowship at Harvard. Dr. Strasburger was Director of Adolescent Medicine at Bridgeport Hospital in Connecticut for 6 years before moving on to the University of New Mexico School of Medicine in Albuquerque, where he has been for the past 23 years. He is a Distinguished Professor of Pediatrics, Professor of Family & Community Medicine, and Chief of the Division of Adolescent Medicine. Dr. Strasburger and his wife has 2 teenagers.
