Drew Williams

关于作者

Drew Williams looks at life as something Mark Twain described as “catching the trade winds in your sails.” As self-proclaimed “Child of the Sea,” Williams is a seventh-generation military veteran, former U.S. Navy Photojournalist and someone who believes in the mantra, “Explore. Dream. Discover.” The Santa Monica, California native has been a writer since he could remember. “I have kept a journal since I was 14,” he says, and having visited, written about and produced video documentaries in more than 100 countries and all 50 states, Drew’s collection of life experiences have filled hundreds of journal pages. He has a Master’s Degree in Homeland Security from the George Washington University with an emphasis on Political Violence and Terrorism, and is currently working on Doctorate programs on Defense Studies and Educational Leadership. Author of one of the multi-million-copy, best-selling “Complete Idiots Guides,” as well as hundreds of news articles for publications throughout the US, Asia and Europe, the 57-year-old father of five daughters still enjoys discovering life’s mysteries, especially those relating to Christian philosophies and ideologies. Ever since he was a young child, Drew has been fascinated with biblical stories—because of his grandmother, who used to read bible stories to him. When she died when Drew was nine years old, he became even more interested in reading and learning about ancient civilizations and their relationship with God. More than 45 years later, he has taught biblical studies for more than three decades. Drew still enjoys discovering what he calls “unlocking the mysteries of the biblical authors” to learn how their writings foreshadow modern times. Drew lives between Utah, Idaho, California and “all points warm” with his wife, Sallie Bradshaw (whose YouTube show, “Building Bradshaws,” documents her exciting life as a woman general contractor in a male-dominated business community). As a non-fiction writer (and with apologies to Mark Twain), Drew Williams “writes what my heart tells me—even when my eyes are not able to focus on my imagination.”
