John C. Domino

John C. Domino (Ph.D. Miami) is Professor of Political Science at Sam Houston State University where he teaches constitutional law, civil rights and liberties, judicial politics, American government and Texas Government. His research focuses on a range of issues dealing with constitutional rights and liberties, judicial independence, and judicial politics. He is the author of four editions of his book, Civil Rights and Liberties In the 21st Century (Routledge, 2018); and has published articles on non-attorney judges in Texas, campaign contributions, state judicial elections, Texas Supreme Court Justice Bob Gammage, and judicial disqualification and recusal. His most recent book is Texas Supreme Court Justice Bob Gammage: A Jurisprudence of Rights & Liberties (Lexington Press, 2019). In addition to teaching and writing, Professor Domino is available for speaking at a variety of venues. Domino lives in The Woodlands,Texas with his two children.
