Philana Marie Boles is a Los Angeles based writer and creative entrepreneur. With degrees in Creative Writing and Theater, she is an award winning writer, performer, and multi-published author (HarperCollins, Random House, Amistad, Viking).
She has worked in development for Spike Lee’s Brooklyn based motion picture film company (40 Acres & a Mule Filmworks), for Glamour magazine (as a media relations assistant) and as the founder and creative director of P. Marie Talent, a talent development and entertainment group for up-and-coming artists.
Her novels include Eenie Meenie Miney Joe, Blame It on Eve and In the Paint for adults as well as the celebrated works of fiction for younger readers, Little Divas and Glitz.
She has appeared as an invited author at The Baltimore Book Festival, Miami Book Fair International, Indiana Black Expo, Southern Kentucky Book Fest, Amigals Literary Retreat at Mariah Carey’s “Camp Mariah” and much more.
Philana has produced and/or performed in numerous stageplays and other works as well as worked as a voice over artist.
As a talent mentor and founder of P. Marie Talent, models and actors under her dedicated development have performed for, modeled for, or appeared on the stages of such national brands as NBC, ABC, HBO, Nickelodeon, Disney, BET, Showtime, Tru TV, Netflix, Walgreens, Zales, Sony Pictures, Kidsfash magazine and much more.
