Kristyn Crow is the author of numerous children's picture books. Her most recent titles include: ZOMBELINA (Bloomsbury 2013), ZOMBELINA DANCES THE NUTCRACKER (Bloomsbury 2015), ZOMBELINA SCHOOL DAYS (Bloomsbury 2017) HELLO, HIPPO! GOODBYE, BIRD! (Random House 2016) and ALL ABOARD THE MOONLIGHT TRAIN (Doubleday 2020). She has received starred reviews from School Library Journal and Publishers Weekly, and won a blue ribbon from the Bulletin of the Center for Children's books (BCCB). She is a Utah Book Award Nominee, and her book, ZOMBELINA DANCES THE NUTCRACKER won the 2016 Association of Mormon Letters (AML) Picture Book Award. Her books ZOMBELINA and ZOMBELINA SCHOOL DAYS were featured in the New York Times.
Kristyn has visited hundreds of elementary schools across the USA, inspiring children to love reading and writing.
She is the screenwriter for The Accidental Astronauts, a Clark Planetarium movie released in March 2015 about the Earth, moon, and sun, now showing in planetariums worldwide.
As the mother of an autistic son, Kristyn has written hundreds of special needs parenting articles for Families.com, reprinted in Pathfinders for Autism, Autism Speaks, Health Central.com, Disabled World, Autism Web.com, and more.
For many years, Kristyn has chaired WRITING FOR CHARITY, a Utah event benefitting numerous international children's foundations, including WE NEED DIVERSE BOOKS, and KIDS CAUSE.
In 2015 Kristyn was an author in the ANYTHING CAN BE project for terminally ill children. The resulting compilation book, TRUE HEROES, was featured in People Magazine and CNN.
Kristyn is the mother of seven wonderfully creative children, and is married to a entrepreneur, who doubles as a mad scientist/inventor.
