Maureen decided she wanted to be a writer when she was six. If that failed, she wanted to be a detective. Poetry was her doorway into fiction writing. She's an award winning multi-genre author, who writes books for discerning children and adults. Most with a touch of magic. Originally from the San Francisco bay area, she now lives on an island near Seattle. For twenty years, she taught teens and adults, and she still loves to lead a good discussion.
