Daniel Taylor (b.1965) works as an artist/modelmaker and is the curator of the Kent & Sharpshooters Yeomanry Museum, based at Hever Castle in Kent. He has always had a deep interest in the military, in particular the Normandy Campaign of 1944, and served in the Territorial Army (Army Reserve) for a number of years. Daniel writes and researches for a number of specialist publications and Regimental Journals, as well as conducting battlefield tours for both civilian and Army groups. His subjects range through many conflicts over the last two hundred years, specialising on the history of the museum's anticedent Regiments - East Kent Mounted Rifles, West Kent Yeomanry, Sharpshooters, 3rd CLY, 23rd London Armoured Car Company, 4th CLY, 3rd/4th CLY and the Kent & Sharpshooters Yeomanry. Daniel lives in Kent with his wife and two sons.
