Charles Edge has been working with Apple products since he was a child. Charles is the author of over 20 books on servers and large-scale device management (with a focus on heterogenous environments). Most of his works revolve around Apple products.
Professionally, Charles worked with Apple products while working in labs at the University of Georgia. He began his consulting career working with Support Technologies and Andersen Consulting and began with the Mac OS and Apple server offerings in 1999 after years of working with various flavors of Unix and Windows Servers.
In 2000, joined 318, a consulting firm in Santa Monica, California which under his guidance as Chief Technology Officer, became the largest Mac consultancy in the world at the time. Charles then became a Product Manager at Jamf, where he helped create and provided general management for a Mobile Device Management solution for smaller organizations called Bushel (now called Jamf Now). After serving as the Director of Professional Services at Jamf, Charles now serves as the Director of the Jamf Marketplace.
Charles also routinely speaks at conferences, including DefCon, BlackHat, Linuxworld, ACES, MacIT, Macworld, MacSysAdmin, MacAdmins, X World, and the Apple WorldWide Developers Conference. He runs a website at krypted.com and maintains three podcasts, The History of Computing, The MacAdmins Podcast, and the Jamf After Dark Podcast.
