For his most recent book, Irresistible, Josh Bersin draws on the conversations, research, and consulting work he has conducted over the last two decades. As an industry analyst who works with senior executives from around the world, he has a ring-side seat to the evolution of the corporate workplace and the changing role of business leaders. Bersin founded Bersin & Associates in 2001 to provide research and advisory services focused on corporate learning. After expanding to cover all areas of human resources, he sold the company in 2012 to Deloitte and became a partner in Bersin by Deloitte. He was the principal author of Deloitte’s annual Human Capital Trends report until his retirement in 2018. In 2019, Bersin launched the Josh Bersin Academy, the world’s first global development academy for HR and talent professionals; today, the Academy offers 22 cohort-based programs on a variety of topics and has approximately 30,000 members. In 2020, he put together a team of analysts and advisors who are now working with him to support and guide HR organizations from around the world under the umbrella of The Josh Bersin Company. The company provides a wide range of research and services for HR leaders and teams spanning areas such as diversity, hybrid work, employee wellbeing, workforce skills, and business resilience, as well as deep dives into workforce trends in areas such as healthcare and finance. Bersin is frequently featured in publications such as Forbes, Harvard Business Review, HR Executive, Fast Company, Wall Street Journal, Economic Times, Financial Times, and Washington Post. He is a frequent conference keynoter and has more than 860,000 followers on LinkedIn. Early in his career, Bersin held jobs in product development, product management, marketing, and technology sales for companies such as IBM, Sybase, and DigitalThink. He has a BS in engineering from Cornell University, an MS in engineering from Stanford University, and an MBA from the Haas School of Business at the University of California, Berkeley. He is the author of two other books, The Blended Learning Handbook, published in 2004, and The Training Measurement Book, published in 2008.
