Jane Kuo is a Chinese and Taiwanese American writer who grew up in Los Angeles and graduated from UC Berkeley with a degree in English Literature. She once borrowed a pencil from Maxine Hong Kingston. Jane lives in California with her husband and two kids. Her first novel, In the Beautiful Country is based on the events of her childhood.
