Following undergraduate and graduate degrees from the University of Oxford, John Duncan has worked for more than thirty years on the link of mind to brain. His research on brain mechanisms of attention and intelligence, combining experimental psychology, brain imaging and neurophysiology, has brought awards and media coverage worldwide. He is Assistant Director of the MRC Cognition and Brain Sciences Unit in Cambridge, UK, a Fellow of the Royal Society and of the British Academy, and holds honorary positions at the Universities of Oxford and Cambridge. He lives with his wife in a village near Cambridge.
