Jim Piecuch

关于作者

Jim Piecuch was born in Manchester, New Hampshire, where he served 13 years as a city firefighter. He also worked as a freelance writer, publishing hundreds of articles in local, regional, and national newspapers and magazines. In 1994 he earned a B.A. degree in history from the University of New Hampshire-Manchester and went on to earn his M.A. from UNH and his Ph.D. in history from the College of William & Mary in Virginia. He is now a professor at Kennesaw State University in Georgia and the author of several books and articles on the history of colonial and Revolutionary America. "I learned to write for the general public long before I went to graduate school," Piecuch says, "and I still write that way. I want to interest readers, not bore them with dry writing." When not teaching and writing, he can often be found roaming the woods with his Siberian huskies, Shyleea and Max.
